| We have been photographers most of our lives - and we still love it! After working as a newspaper staff photographer for 8 years, Heather left that industry to run HHP full time and photographs everything from newborns to weddings and feature articles for magazines all over the country. Rob continues to work full time at the newspaper and spends a lot of his nights on sports fields all over Hampton Roads, photographing a handful of weddings each year. How We Work As experienced photojournalists we know the right questions to ask to know what is happening when & will be in the best spots to capture the fleeting moments as they happen. We know how to capture all the fun & excitement while blending in with your friends & family so you barely notice we're there. And we always get great photos without taking forever to get them. We excel at capturing not just the split second moments, but your personalities and love for one another in carefully composed artistic photographs. We work hard to be everywhere, all the time, while disappearing into the crowd so we don't distract or interrupt the events (earning us a "ninja" reputation). We know how to work with the camera shy & are so easy to get along with that by dinner we usually have your friends thinking we're family & your family thinking we're friends. Why Work With Us You will love working with us! You may laugh as we hang out car windows, or cry when you see the slide show a few weeks later, but you will definitely love the photographs and have fun with us. We build a relationship with you that stretches well beyond the wedding day (many of our baby portrait clients were wedding clients just a few years before) and that is just as priceless as the photos. Most of the time, you will be working with Heather since she does most of the weddings and all of the portraits but Rob is available as a second wedding photographer and serves as a amazing backup system should anything ever happen (never has, knock-on-wood ;) The only time we recommend you have two great photographers is if you have over 250 guests or special circumstances where you would want Heather in two places at the same time. And in the case that you want double coverage & one of us isn't available, we have a small pool of extremely talented newspaper & wedding photographers (and friends) with years of experience that we love to work with and are happy to hire for you.
